KHD announces: First clinker at the kiln of JP Himachal´s 10,000 tpd Baga cement plant in India

On January 22, 2010 the rotary kiln at the new 10,000 tpd clinker production plant of Jaiprakash Associates Ltd., member of JAYPEE-Group, India was heated up for refractory dry-out. And on January 27, 2010 first clinker was produced at the single kiln line, located at Baga/Malokhar in the Solan/Bilaspur district, Himachal Pradesh. For KHD and its project team on site with specialists from its German and Indian subsidiaries this is an important step towards the first cement plant with a clinker capacity of >10,000 tpd equipped with KHD technology.

New contract for KHD from Turkey: Limak Cimento expands its Sanliurfa kiln line by more than 120%
Humboldt Wedag, Germany, member of KHD Group, has signed a contract with Limak Cimento Turkey to supply engineering and equipment fo capacity increase of the kiln line at the Sanliurfa cement plant from 2,000 t/d to 4,500 t/d clinker.

Extension of KHD´s scope of supply for Novoroscement´s — 2 million tpy cement production plant under construction
In April 2008 OAO Novoroscement placed a major contract for a 2 million tpy cement production plant with KHD Humboldt Wedag including engineering and equipment supply from raw material crushing to cement loading / packing and a separate contract for supervision services of erection and commissioning.

KHD automation systems for “Uljanovsk Schiefer”, Russia
End of 2007 Russian cement producer “Uljanovsk Schiefer”, a subsidiary of Mordowcement), awarded KHD Humboldt Wedag the order for engineering and equipment supply for a new clinker production plant ranging from the crushing section for clay to the cement loading section and operating by the dry process, designed for a capacity of 3,000 t/d.

Second PYROFLOOR® clinker cooler for Askale Cimento, Turkey
At the end of 2007 new kiln line II at Erzrum cement plant - with a capacity of 3,500 t/d clinker and equipped with KHD pyroprocess technology including the first PYROFLOOR® cooler in Turkey - was successfully commissioned. After one year of trouble-free plant operation the client decided at the end of 2008 again in favor of KHD´s clinker cooler technology.
